Renovation Update – August 22, 2021

We’ve had noticeable progress in a number of areas of construction over the past six weeks. The most obvious is in the creation of our outside front entrance and new gardens, prime painting of completed rooms and hallways, further carpentry in the sanctuary and community stair, roughing in of the kitchen and insulation work in the gym.

Spirit of Hope hosted a Covid-safe, outdoor BBQ for the construction workers at the end of July, with our minister Blaine Gregg and project liaison Kevin Gue hosting and flipping burgers. Blaine expressed our gratitude for everyone's efforts and said a few words about how, oftentimes, the efforts of individuals can contribute to a big, collective vision.

The following photos, taken on Friday, August 13, give you an idea of what has changed.
